誰若願意跟隨我，該棄絕自己。(瑪16:24)
省思
四旬期的傳統，就是要我們去克己，為的就是要我們放棄自我，跟隨天主；對天主說「是」，而對自我說「不」。
這就正正與罪惡的模式相反，尤其是放棄墮胎，否則我們便是對自我說「是」而對天主說「不」了。
祈禱
天主，我願意在學習放棄自我的時候，把我自己奉獻給兒童；讓我們不論對祢或是對尚未出生的嬰兒，都能說「是」。

REFLECTION
The traditional practice of “giving something up for Lent” is a practice of self-denial. It means we say no to ourselves and yes to God and others.
This reverses the pattern of sin, particularly abortion, which says yes to ourselves and no to God and others.
PRAYER
Lord, as I practice self-denial, I offer my sacrifices for children. May we say yes to You and yes to the unborn.
