省思
英語“compassion”（同情）一字源自拉丁文，意指「與…受苦」。確實，愛使我們與他人變得更親近，甚至當別人身處痛苦之中，愛能使大家更親近。愛，就是願意與被愛的那位，一起面對與承擔痛苦。
因此，所謂「死亡的權利」(意指安樂死)，實在是狡猾地把「殺人的權利」包裝起來。
祈禱
主，求祢把我們從自私當中釋放出來，讓我們不再從別人的痛苦面前逃走，而是讓我們滿懷真正的同情，使我們能去分擔別人的痛苦 。
TRUE “compassion” brings one to share the suffering of the other, not to eliminate the one whose suffering he cannot tolerate.

REFLECTION.
The word “compassion” comes from the Latin words meaning “to suffer with.” Love brings us closer to people, and when they are in pain, love wants to come closer still. Love gladly suffers for and with the one who is loved.
The so-called “right to die” is really a clever disguise for the right to kill.
PRAYER.
Lord, free us from the selfishness that wants to run away from the suffering of others. Instead, fill us with true compassion so that we may suffer with them.
